Disabling Freesync from AMD drivers stops this. This ONLY happens on loading screens and menus when the FPS drops very low. The flickering issues we were investigating were actually bound to the loading screens and unrelated to the issues you were reporting.
But the new high end GPU's don't support any analog out anymore so was forced to use a DP to VGA cable and was experiencing a weird grainy and shakiness to the video. Only happens in wow. You should not get any flicker in game unless your FPS is <30. I have tried three different Display port 1.2 cables, and it doesnt fix anything. I tried many different nVidia drivers, even ones from July. I have the exact same issue while mining, flying, casting or transmogging. If you’re already onthe latest drivers for your graphics card - does your monitor use adaptive syncing such as GSync/Freesync? This thing is an absolute dream to have. In the meantime, we haven’t identified any workarounds, so please bear with us! I would love it if AMD fixed this issue because its kind of annoying. In Windows i get crazy flickering, white stripes and popping sounds. Load screen flicker is normal and is due to the way Gsync works. I get a sort of double vision. I was also able to recreate the problem every time I removed and reinstalled the GPU. On the loading screen with gsync there IS a flicker on the bottom left corner. I bought a brand new PC with an AMD Sapphire R9 390 graphics Card and a iiyama ProLite B2783QSU-B1, 27" Monitor which especially says Freesync support as a feature. I searched here on the Forums and on Google and found a crazy amount of other people having the same issue but nowhere to a good solution. Can somebody from AMD officially address this? I've run DDU to do a clean install of AMD display drivers, and still have the same problems. I just got that cable that you recommended above (Accell 6.6ft) and its still doing the same thing. This is also happening to me while fishing in the Darkmoon Faire. I did try the same cables and monitor on my friends PC on an Nvidia GPU, and it worked JUST FINE with display port. One weird thing though, I tried an old game, Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands and G-Sync doesn't work (I'm using the G-Sync Indicator overlay to see when it's in use). This happens only to higher resolution like 3840x2160 or 4096x2160. Have reinstalled wow/ui reset, latest drivers.
But its not creating floating blacks. If so, can you disable this technology and see if the flickering disappears? I have also found that Borderless Windowed or Windowed often solves the issues entirely.
Ever since the 1.1.2 patch my load screen has been flickering. Please turn JavaScript back on and reload this page. I am using a fresh installation of Windows 10 Pro 64bit. I’ve tested it on my main install, on the 8.3 PTR, and even on a flash drive that I have WoW installed on for when I’m not at home. Can you try disabling the Power Efficiency toggle under Radeon Settings > Global Settings to see if that makes any difference? Hunter as well.

Also, check whether Civilization has detected the correct refresh rate for your monitor. Then, G-SYNC Compatible monitors refer to any monitor that provides what NVIDIA call a ‘Validated Experience’. Im running newest drivers for the monitor and AMD. The following drivers I have attempted to use using full uninstall methods of the drivers: 16.2.1, 16.3.1, 16.4.2, and the current 16.5.2.1. What I found was I had to kill the power to the PSU for a moment (either unplug or use the switch) after which the video output was perfect again, even through multiple shut-downs and restarts. The likelyhood of it being a hardware problem, meaning BOTH of my gpus are shot, seems unlikely compared to a software or driver issue. There is a 'grey' loading screen which initially alarmed me.. but its also present without gsync so i guess the coders just like the colour dark grey. A video of the flickering would be useful. With the newer cable it runs better, but when loading up a game white flickering dots and a horizontal band of black and white lines will occur every few seconds across the screen and then the screen will go black once the game is loaded and the monitor settings are not accessible during that time. i also know what ability of mine as a hunter is causing this use ,
So I bought a newer cable. Flickering still happening on every game at every driver level, Multiple freesync monitors, multiple expensive cables. If so, can you disable this technology and see if the flickering disappears? Go to the Gsync section in the Nvidia control panel. Sorry for the confusion!
Have you had any updates with this problem? But as long as power is killed to the system it has always corrected itself. I did not change any video settings, but I did try updating video drivers but nothing seemed to help. there MAYBE is a subtle gamma change IMO. I have it in the halls of valor when I change my weapon. In fact, I play classic and it doesn’t do it there. The Display Port caused all kinds of issues, but DVI and HDMI work fine. Seems to only happen within Nazjatar and Eternal Palace. We recommend using a DisplayPort 1.2 Certified cable no longer than 3 metres, often the cables bundled with the display are of lower quality. So I know that its not the monitor or the cables, it has to be something with the gpu. I had a similar issue with a nVidia GPU. This happens to me too in nazjatar.
